  ITM - Two year form of ITM Evening program
1. General information
1.1 Education goals
The educational goals of ITM aim to give students a solid foundation in management skills pertaining especially to the hospitality and tourism industries. Students are taught to develop marketing and communication abilities as well as being thoroughly trained in guest relations, service, and cuisine. Furthermore, ITM encourages students to enhance their language competency while learning to understand the importance of multicultural aspects. This approach is developed for people who are employed in the hotel or travel business.

1.3 Language of instruction
Since English is the medium of instruction, an excellent knowledge both in reading and writing is required.
1.4 Semester
Course starts at the beginning of October and lasts until the end of May. Holidays are scheduled according to the Czech school system. Some Saturdays and Sundays will be used for lectures based on availability of the foreign lectors. Lessons are organised in blocks and in the late afternoon so the students can fulfill their professional duties.
1.5 Intership
A practical training internship of 12 weeks is required of all students between the 1st and 2nd year. This summer training program may be done in a hotel, restaurant, travel agency or other approved tourism related establishment in the Czech Republic or abroad. As there is a 4-month period between the 1st and 2nd year, the student may extend the training period for the full four months. The students will also have a form of fulfilled duties confirmed by their boss from their intership.
The students write their thesis according to rules in the student´s manual, and present it in their Hospitality class.
1.6 ITM diploma
ITM is officially recognized as a post-secondary educational institution by the Austrian Ministry of Education. Students completing the 2-Year program will be awarded an official state diploma certifying competency in the areas of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.
1.7 Lectures and teaching methods
Our lecturers are highly qualified experts in the field of hospitality management and tourism. Their practical experience is ideally combined with business management theory to offer students the knowledge and information essential for a successful career.
In order to provide students with an all-around education lecturers are recruited from four specific areas:
- Lecturers from the Austrian Tourism Industry
- International University Professors
- Austrian University Professors
- Practical Training Instructors
A variety of training methods are applied within all courses and include lectures, discussions, role-playing exercises, case studies, group projects, "learning by doing" practical experience and homework.
2. Admission
2.1 Requirements
The decision of a student's acceptance is decided upon by an Admission's Board and is based on a student's high school diploma, baccalaureate, or the equivalent. Individuals with and excellent professional background are also encouraged to apply. Before a student is accepted he/she will be invited to an interview with the Director (or entrance examination). The decision of acceptance is based on appearance, academic background, and character traits. If a student cannot attend an interview (entrance examination), the decision of acceptance will be based primarily on academic background. After the interview (examination) the individual will be informed within two weeks about the results. Should acceptance not be possible due to space availability - individuals will have the choice of being put on a waiting list.
2.2 Procedures
- Fill-out the enrollment form
- Send the filled out and signed enrollment form along with the following:
- curriculum vitae
- 2 recent passport photographs
- opies of school certificates or diplomas
- copies of employment certificates, if existing
- copy of birth certificate
- Once the ITM Admission's Office has processed your application - you will be informed of your acceptance
- After ITM receives your registration fee, your place of study is secured
